About
Dr. Scarlet Sarksan
Counselling Psychologist & Psychotherapist | HCPC Registered
I’m Scarlet, a Chartered Counselling Psychologist and Psychotherapist registered with the HCPC. I work with adult individuals and couples, supporting them in exploring who they are, how they experience the four existential dimensions of being, and where they wish to arrive as part of their journey of becoming.
My therapeutic approach is rooted in deep curiosity and respect for each individual's subjective lived experiences. Over the past decade, I’ve worked extensively in the talking therapy world that includes clients with refugees and migrant lived experiences, helping them find stability, integration, and a sense of belonging in their new environments. My years as a clinical lead and therapist in the field of drug and alcohol addiction taught me that these challenges are subjective to each individual.
I currently operate an independent private practice, where I work with clients to navigate life transitions, develop a deeper sense of meaning and purpose, and reconnect with their authentic selves according to how they see the world. I also work with couples who are seeking assistance to arrive at their next stages of their relationships and/or work through challenges together.
My doctoral training was completed with NSPC & Middlesex University (UK). My own journey working through a mixed cultural background — ethnically Armenian, born and raised in Iran, and having lived in the UK for over 30 years, allows me many lenses to see and experience others and their human lived experiences as unique in their own way.
Outside the therapy room, I find joy in dancing, yoga, meditation, and traveling. I’m endlessly fascinated by people — whether I’m sipping Armenian coffee and enjoying dark chocolate at a café, or simply observing the richness of life passing by.
Let’s explore your life together.
