The Home for Existential Training

All of our courses are founded in an existential tradition that assumes that learning what things mean and learning how things can be explained are equally important. Philosophy, particularly the continental tradition of phenomenology, is no more but no less important to us than the latest developments in social science, psychology, and neuroscience.

Poetry, art, music, dance, and spirituality are of concern to us. None of us are just academics. We are practitioners, too, grounded in the real world of family life, politics, disasters, and successes. If you study with us, you will find that we try to blend these various influences into a unique mix — and we hope that you will be encouraged to do the same.
