COVID-19 UPDATE and Return to the Existential Academy

  • Tuesday 22nd June 2021

NSPC and the Existential Academy take the protection of our staff and students very seriously and we draw on government and scientific information to come to decisions.

Therefore in the academic year 2021/2022 the majority of our programmes will continue to be taught online, either through face to face zoom teaching or through our learning platform Moodle.

From January 2022, if restrictions allow, we aim to teach first year doctoral students and some of our Masters programmes skills sessions at the Existential Academy, although there will still be the option to study online if you choose to.

We have measures in place to ensure and protect the health and wellbeing of staff and students in the building. We will be requesting anyone entering the building the first time after a break to have had a negative lateral flow test result 12 hours before.  We require that anyone who has symptoms of COVID should not come to the building.

We cannot be sure how long there will be measures requiring that visitors to the UK from abroad who come from or have passed through many overseas countries must also have PCR tests and be in quarantine for ten days pending a negative test result on day 8.  For those students coming from overseas you will need to follow the guidance from the UK government in addition to the requirements we will have in place.  This guidance will change as the situation changes so please refer to this page for any updates.
